From responsible sourcing through to reducing waste and improving energy efficiency, we’re continually looking at how we can operate more responsibly across our business and manufacturing facilities.
Our focus is on making meaningful improvements that have a genuine impact over time.
Working More Efficiently
We are working towards a goal of zero waste to landfill.
Across our facilities, materials including wood, metal and plastics are separated for recycling, while usable offcuts are reused wherever possible within production.
Continued investment in modern machinery has also helped us manufacture more efficiently, reducing waste and improving precision across the business.
Our approach to environmental responsibility is also supported by our ISO 14001 accreditation, reflecting the systems and processes we have in place to continually improve environmental performance across the business.

Smarter Use of Resources
We’ve introduced a number of practical changes across our sites to reduce energy usage and make better use of waste materials.
This includes woodburners that convert timber waste into heat for several of our units, helping reduce reliance on traditional heating systems.
We also use FSC-certified timber, supporting responsible forestry and more sustainable sourcing throughout our supply chain.
Recognised Progress
Benchmark has been awarded Bronze status by EcoVadis, placing us within the top 35% of assessed businesses for sustainability performance.
For us, it’s recognition of the steady progress being made across the company and the commitment of our teams to improving the way we operate.
Beyond the Factory Floor
Sustainability also influences the way we manage logistics, transport and day-to-day operations.
Our fleet now includes electric vehicles supported by onsite charging points, helping reduce emissions from local deliveries and service visits.
Across the business, staff are encouraged to recycle, reduce unnecessary waste and contribute ideas that help us continue improving.

The retail displays and fixtures we manufacture are designed to perform over time and, wherever possible, to be reused, adapted or updated rather than replaced unnecessarily.
